- ~U -
,7.24}'- cobbly lu~m
This soil is used mainly for livestock grazing and wildlife habitat
The potential native vegetation on this soil is bluebunch wheatgrass,
Indian ricegrass, Galleta, big sagebrush, winterfat, and an occasional
pinyon pine and Utah juniper. When the range condition deteriorates,
forbs and woody shrubs increase. In poor condition, undesirable
weeds and annual plants are abundant.
Grazing management will maintain and improve range conditions.
Seeding and brush management practices are not practical because of
steep slopes.
Wildlife using this soil are mule deer, cottontail rabbit, gray
squirrel, coyote, and songbirds.
The main factor limiting community development is steep slopes.
Steep slopes and stone content limit the use of this soil for
construction material.
Capability subclass VIIe
Range Site - Stony Foothills
