• O(~AIERSHIP AND RIGHT OF ENTRY
The proposed areas subject to this revision request are located within
lands rnntrolled by EFCI. The area situates within Corley Caigaany
surface and mineral ownership. Right of entry information providing
EE'CI access to recover coal reserves is attached as Exhibit 1, Right
of Entry Information.
The hydrology of the proposed boundary change area ie the same as the
adjacent permitted area. EFCI has maintained a system of grand water
monitoring wells in the vicinity of the area subject to this request.
Further information on the wells and a detailed description of the
hydrology is available in Section 2.04.7 of the applicants permit
renewal as submitted by ACZ, Inc. on Oct. 31, 1989. Section 2.04.7 of
the Permit Renewal Application is incorporated herein by this
reference.
SOBSIDENCE
The effects of subsidence and mitigation mPacnrPa for the proposed
permit area addition are the same as the adjacent permitted area. The
• proposed permit area, depicted on Exhibit 3, Proposed Incidental
Boundary Change Area, is a projection to the surface of the area which
may be affected by projected mining. Consistent with the applicant's
approved permit application, a 25 degree angle of draw is used to
determine the proposed boudary. Projected coal thiclmess is 5.0 to
6.0 feet at an average overburden thiclmess of 650 feet.
All surface features subject to potential subsidence effects are
depicted on Exhibit 3, Proposed Incidental Boundary Change Area. The
affected area consists of gently sloping terrain bisected by ephemeral
drainages. In addition, rumierous surface mining pits and abandoned
~dergraIId m; r,PC exist i.il the upper-most Rex Carbon Seam.
The potential effects of subsidence and mitigation measures are the
eaioe as those addressed in Section 2.05.6(6)of the approved permit
application. There are no surface features or structures subject to
subsidence effects within the pivposed revision area. Section
2.05.6(6) of the approved Permit Application is incorporated herein by
this reference.
'~
SORFACE DISfORBANGE .. - -
'a.~'~-S Mining actiVities'~~+a~~~~ t0 this revision regirst' will not create
--'~`='1, any '.additional surface'' disturbance: .
