the project site is owned by the Department of Corrections. <br />C) WATER RESOURCES <br />The material extraction for the river park access road is not expected to directly affect the <br />surface or ground water systems. A well to the north of permit area indicates ground <br />water at a depth of 56 Feet. The Bray Allen Ditch lines the west section of the project and <br />has been enclosed in a 30 inch pipe. The Helena Ditch to the north and east of permit <br />area will not be included the permitted acreage. No adverse effects concerning the <br />stability of the man made structure aze foreseen. The Arkansas River is on the west side <br />of permit site, all concerns for storm water run-off will be addressed through the Storm <br />Water Management Plan. . <br />D) WILDLIFE HABITAT <br />Wildlife habitat present on the project site consists of an occasional deer or small game. <br />The removal of material should not have a negative impact on the wildlife. The <br />reclamation plan should enhance the habitat for all species. Minimal overall impact is <br />expected. All aspects of the excavation and reclamation plan shall take into account the <br />safety and protection of wildlife. <br />
