;.
`~ ~' •
' Page 2
August 8, 1988
Pat Martinek
Red Canyon Quarry
M-85-043
4. It was agreed that while Castle Concrete is conducting its
feasibility study no quarry reclamation would be expected of C&C Sand
and no requirement to reclaim would be imposed.
5. It was agreed that a period of approximately one year would be
allowed for Castle Concrete to complete the feasibility study and make a
decision as to whether they will assume the permit.
6. In the event the feasibility study does not prove the operation to
be useful for Castle Concrete's purposes, all parties will be notified
of such and responsibility to implement any reclamation, dispose of the
quarry to another party, or operate the quarry will return to C&C Sand
Company. In this event, the current permitted plan would remain as the
approved plan that C&C Sand would be expected to implement to fulfill
their responsibilities under the permit.
7. It was agreed that prior to any stockpiles being removed, the small
topsoil stockpile located at the extreme northern end of the work area
will be marked and will not be removed by Castle Concrete.
Thank you for your time to discuss this matter. We will keep you fully
informed as to the progress on the feasibility study.
Respectfully,
~~~'r ~ e
Mark A.
