<br />• 2 • <br />Topsoil on the majority of the pits is nonexistent and the reclamation <br />plan does include adding of organic material to act as topsoil. If <br />topsoil does exist it will be stored in the permitted area. <br />Water Pits on the Leischuck Pit -They will not be affected by the mining <br />because it is going to take place in a bank located to the south and east <br />of the water. <br />In reference to the Dole pit, the intent was to include an area of <br />approximately 9.2 acres including the two work areas as described in <br />the reclamation plan and not be treated as two separate pits. <br />Estimated life of pits is undetermined as they will be used intermittently <br />dnd utilized as we have need of gravel on roads in the area. <br />Exhibit D <br />Burns and Dole pits are dry pits. The water had collected in the old <br />pits from snow and runoff from the adjacent area and is not from a ground <br />water source. During the dry months they are completely dry. That also <br />includes the Leischuck Pit. <br />Thank you for your assistance.
