06025 Banks and Gesso, LLC <br />Exhibit D -Mining Plan ~~~~~~~® <br />OCT 2 0 2006 <br />OVBNI2W Division of Reclamation, <br />The permit boundary is a 32-acre hill surrounded by a golf~Q'Q~s~'d s,~oximately 13 <br />acres of previous disturbance (grading, borrow pit, mining for on-site use) exists in the <br />south central part of the hill, some of which has been stabilized and reseeded. The <br />reserve is a sand and gravel deposit and it is estimated that approximately 4 million tons <br />are present. The mine will continue from its present location downward and out towards <br />the flanks of the hill. The outer limits of disturbance will always be topographically higher <br />than the pit floor in order to control drainage within the pit and to prevent earth and rock <br />materials from moving downhill (see cross section on Exhibit C-2A). <br />The hill will be brought down to approximately the surrounding grade and will be <br />developed for residential use pursuant to Granby Ranch's development plans. The <br />topography and nature of the mining plan does not allow concurrent reclamation, except <br />towards the end of mining as certain areas achieve the planned final grade. <br />Topsoil and Overburden <br />The permit area contains very little topsoil due to previous disturbance and the fact that <br />steep slopes and the sand and gravel substrate have prevented the development of a <br />good soil horizon. Some limited amount of topsoil may be recoverable at the north end <br />of the property where there is a relatively undisturbed stand of blue spruce trees. Any <br />salvageable topsoil from this area will be stockpiled in previously mined out areas for <br />later use. The topsoil stockpile will be planted with the seed mix presented in Exhibit E - <br />Reclamation Plan, if it is to remain undisturbed for more than one growing season. <br />The sand and gravel deposit is exposed at the ground surface and there is virtually no <br />overburden. It is possible that minor amounts of overburden are present in the <br />undisturbed northern portion of the property. It is also possible that minor silt and clay <br />lenses are encountered in the deposit and minor amounts of processing waste are <br />generated. All such materials will be stockpiled in mined out portions of the pit and will <br />be subsequently used in the reclamation of the 32-acre pit floor. <br />Granby Realty Holdings, LLC September 25, 2006 <br />Overlook Mine Page 7 <br />
