(Revised 3/22/94) <br />EXHIBIT D <br />to that certain <br />Limited Impact Operation (110(2)) <br />Reclamation Permit <br />Application Form <br />WEST END GRAVEL COMPANY <br />RECLAMATION PLAN <br />1. The present use of the land to be affected is limited <br />rangeland as little vegetation is present. Lack of nutrients <br />in the soil prohibit plant growth. Reclamation of all disturbed <br />areas to more productive rangeland is proposed as the landowner <br />will incorporate the reclaimed land in its cattle ranching <br />operation. <br />2. At the completion of the removal of gravel from each <br />approximately two (2) acres of land, the area will be leveled <br />to a slope not exceeding one percent (17). Topsoil will be <br />placed on the leveled areas to a depth of approximately six <br />inches (6"). No other soil or overburden exists on the area. <br />The highwalls of the mined area will be graded to a slope not <br />exceeding 3:1 at the end of the mine life. Topsoil will be <br />spread on the sloped highwall and seeded in accordance with <br />the seeding plan. A contour map showing the final configuration <br />of the proposed permit area is attached as part of Exhibit D. <br />3. After the topsoil is placed and leveled on the mined <br />areas, one (1) ton of gypsum per acre will be incorporated into <br />the soil to a depth of six inches (6"). The gypsum will allow <br />the salts in the soil to release from the clay particles and <br />leach out of the plant root zone. <br />Fertilizer at the rate of seventy-five (75) pounds per <br />acre of a mix of 20/10/10 plus three percent (3~) iron will <br />be spread and worked into the soil to a depth of four inches <br />(4"). A legume such as white clover will be planted the first <br />growing season after the topsoil is placed. The white clover <br />will be planted at a rate of four (4) pounds per acre. At the <br />
