Revised 11-10-82
2.05.3 Operation Plan - Permit Area - Continued:
• (4) Ponds, impoundments and diversions:
There will be no ponds or impoundments on the Northgate
site. Once the topsoil has been removed, water will
naturally pond on the property. A 10 year 24 hour storm
event would result in the ponding of a maximum of 1 inch
of water over the entire property. There will be no
runoff from the site.
All precipitation which falls on lands adjacent to the
loadout wiil flow away from the property as a result of
the natural contours. It has been determined that
neither an interceptor ditch nor berm will be required
to divert runoff away from the Northgate property.
(5) Topsoil (removal and storage):
Scrapers will be used to remove topsoil to a depth of 12
• to 18 inches from the entire permit area. All topsoil,
approximately 6500 c.y., will be placed in one stockpile
at the western edge of the permit area (Figure 1). The
stockpile will be seeded with the seed mix decribed on
page D-2(a) of the permit.
(6) Overburden:
No overburden will be removed at the loadout site.

14
