Man Made Structures: This includes the Forest Service system roads. Please provide <br />information on the location of the Forest Service system roads relative to the proposed <br />permitted area, and the distance from the mine boundary to the Forest Service system <br />roads. <br />3. The existing extent of the excavated area and overburden piles should be well documented. <br />This is an area that is not part of the Division required reclamation activities, and is <br />currently bonded by the Forest Service for reclamation. <br />6.3.3 EXHIBIT C -Mining Plan <br />1. Topsoil removal: According to Mineral Rule 3.1.10, sufficient soil must be salvaged to <br />meet the post mining vegetation establishment criteria. You might wish to specify a range <br />for topsoil salvage of 6 or more inches (Mineral Rules 3.1.9). <br />2. Fuel Spillage: Your plan provides some information on your response to a possible spill, <br />but does not include reference to the required notifications. Note that the DMG needs to <br />be notified, along with all other appropriate agencies, if there is a fuel spill of reportable <br />quantities (Mineral Rules 3.1.13). Please provide a statement that the Operator will make <br />the required notifications in the event of a spill. <br />3. Ore Processing: What method will be used to separate the ore that will be shipped offsite <br />from the overburden that will be backfilled (Mineral Rule 6.3.3 (1)(m))? <br />4. Please specify the dimensions of any significant disturbances to the land surface such as pit <br />excavations, mine benches, impoundments, stockpiles, waste rock disposal azeas, roads etc <br />(Mineral Rule 6.3.3 (1)(f). <br />6.3.4 EXHIBIT D -Reclamation Plan <br />1. State the thickness of plant growth medium to be replaced. The 2- 6 inches stated in the <br />reclamation plan maybe insufficient to establish vegetation. Please state the thickness of <br />plant growth medium to be replaced that will be sufficient to establish plant growth <br />(Mineral Rule 3.1.10). As a general rule less then 6 inches of plan growth medium may <br />hinder adequate vegetation establishment <br />2. Please specify the application method for grass and forb seeding (Mineral Rule 6.3.4(1)(c). <br />If the seed is to be broadcast, the application rate will need to be twice the rate required for <br />seed drilling. <br />3.
