0
Exhibit D ( continued - page #2 )
Surface mining will occur in two ways . For roadbase
production we will use 5 yard front-end loaders to excavate along
a vertical face , and to transport the mined material to the
crushing and screening plant . This processed material will be
stockpiled by a conveyor in the permitted area for future use .
The second mining method will be for "pit-run" materials .
This gravel will be loaded onto trucks and transported off-site
to construction projects in the county road system as needed. In
all cases , during periods of inactivity, the vertical face will
be sloped back for safety reasons .
There will be no acid-forming or toxic producing materials
to address . There will be no washing or chemical processing
plants on the site. The operation will not impact the hydrologic
balance or create off-site damage. The disturbed areas will be
re-vegetated according to the reclamation plan for the future use
of rangeland.
Exhibit D page #2
