Prooosed Future Use <br />ly. Your proposed future land use of Agricultural and Ponds is not <br />considered a beneficial use according to Rule 6. Please commit to an <br />accepted beneficial post-mine land use. The staff suggests a <br />post-mine land use of Pasture and lJildlife Habitat. <br />Exhibit D-Mining Plan <br />. How will the topsoil stockpiles located between Areas 1 and 2 be <br />stabilized? The staff suggests grading to a slope not to exceed <br />/ 3H:1V and seeding with the reclamation seed mix. <br />'~7l How will the fill area located in the northwest corner of the permit <br />area be protected from wind and water erosion prior to reclamation? <br />The staff suggests grading to slopes not to exceed 3H:1V and <br />vegetating with a cover crop. <br />Please explain your extraction and/or backfilling procedures which <br />will result in the ponds being separated. <br />You state that water from dewatering operations in the extraction <br />areas will be pumped to an existing pond just west of Area 1. <br />Provide information that the addition of water will not exceed the <br />natural capacity of this pond. If the natural capacity is exceeded, <br />how will the water be contained in this pond? In the event of a <br />discharge, where would this discharge occur?
