Table 5 lists the areas which will be exposed to wind-blown erosion. <br />TABLE 6 <br />LORENCITO CANYON MINE <br />DLSTURBED AREAS <br />Facility Acreage <br />Surface Mine 330.00 <br />P-1/P-2 Portal 10.21 <br />P-3 Portal 3.36 <br />R-1/R-2 Portal 3.17 <br />Haul Roads 82.83 <br />Access Road 16.12 <br />Loadout Facility 14.16 <br />Railroad Spur 2.23 <br />Total 462.08 <br />The emission factor for wind-blown erosion on exposed areas is 0.28*0.38 tons/acre/year (APCD <br />Fugitive Particulate Emission, Section II, Table 8.241). <br />Annual emissions will be 49.17 tons/year. <br />EXEMPTED SOURCES <br />Electric power will be used as energy for the mine facilities and no backup generators; are planned. <br />A total of nine diesel fuel storage tanks will be on the mine as follows: two 5,000- gallon tanks <br />at the surface mine, two 5,000 gallon-tanks at the loadout facility, 1,000-gallon tanks at the P-3 <br />and R-1/R-2 portals, and two 1,000 gallon tanks at the P-1/P-2 portal for a total capacity of 24,000 <br />gallons. Total annual fuel diesel usage at the LCC mine will be 1,648,065 gallons. Table 7 shows <br />the estimated fuel usage for each type of equipment planned for the LCC mine. <br /> <br /> <br />C1 <br /> <br />
