1) The finished pit will be returned to dryland farming. The overburden and the
topsoil will be replaced and then the land will be fazmed again. There should
be no disturbance to the hydrologic balance.
m) There could be some processing of the material on-site. This is dependent
upon the gradation of the materials as they aze mined.
n) The commodities to be mined are gravel, clay, and sand.
o) The mined materials will primarily be sold for construction material for
concrete. Following that use, the pit may have some material that can be used
for road construction or landscaping projects.
p) No explosives will be used in this operation.
EJCffiBIT D -Reclamation Plan
The pit will be returned to dryland fazmground after the gravel has been mined.
a) The first layer of soil is approximately 17" in depth. Approximately two feet
of topsoil and overburden will have been removed. This stockpiled
overburden and topsoil will all be replaced before farming re-occurs.
b) Slopes no greater than 3:1 will be left in the completed pit.
c) Reclamation will begin after the first half is mined.
d) The access road will be worked up and reclaimed by planting it to native
grasses once the mining is complete.
e) There are no other reclamation treatments to note for this site.
A cost estimate for final reclamation has been prepazed and is attached.
