text as specified in the enclosed February 8, 2002 DMG memorandum regarding Minerals <br />Program Notification of Toxic or Hazardous Material Spills at Mine Sites. <br />Exhibit E -Reclamation Plan <br />7. Please ensure the reclamation plan includes all information required by Rule 6.4.5 including the <br />specifics noted in items 8-14 listed below. <br />8. Please specify topsoil and overburden replacement depths that are anticipated, based on site <br />specific observations. <br />9. Please specify the final grading of the pit floor and if all drainage will be directed to the one pond <br />on the west boundary. <br />10. Please commit to leaving or replacing two feet of material overlying the bedrock to provide a <br />rooting zone for reclamation vegetation. Available overburden and crusher fines may be used for <br />a portion of this two foot interval. If the overburden is high in caliche, the,text must include a <br />commitment to selectively remove and stockpile this material and replace it under any other <br />available fill or crusher fines. <br />11. Please specify how any highwalls will be reduced to the final approved 3H:1V grade. <br />12. Please specify measures to be taken to provide for the greatest probability for successful <br />revegetation as required by Rule 3.1.10(4), (5), and (6). <br />13. DMG highly recommends that the soils on site be analyzed for nutrient requirements and fertilizer <br />recommendations. Additionally, DMG highly recommends that certified weed free mulch, applied <br />at a rate of 1-1.5 tons per acre, crimped in or otherwise anchored, be included in the reclamation <br />plan to retain moisture in the soil for seed germination and plant establishment. <br />14, Please specify if sedimentafion and erosion control features wilt be permanent or will be removed. <br />If they are to be removed, indicate how and when that process will occur. <br />Exhibit F -Reclamation Plan Mao <br />15. The Reclamation Plan Map needs to be revised to indicate: <br />• all areas to be affected by mining operations and areas to be revegetated, <br />• consistent and appropriate contour intervals; <br />• labeled permit boundary; <br />• stormwater and sediment control features (if applicable); <br />• stated overburden and topsoil replacemenf depths. <br />• All maps, except the location maps, need to meet the requirements of Rule 6.2.1(2). <br />Exhibit G -Water Information <br />16. Please provide an estimate of water use requirements for the operation, including flow rates and <br />annual volumes. Also, please include the source of the water to be consumed. <br />Exhibit H -Wildlife Information <br />17. Please provide the information required by Rule 6.4.8(b), (c), and (d). <br />
