Sequential mining and reclamation activities will minimize
the spatial extent of wildlife habitat taken out of
productivity. Disturbance in one area will, to some extent,
be offset by areas being left undisturbed and by other
areas in various stages of revegetation. Eventually,
maturity of revegetated areas and the establishment of
natural appearing ponds and prairie grasslands will result
in a vastly superior habitat .to that which exists presently.
However, several years will elapse before this final form
