Several cross-sections were surveyed along Channel SIIPM-1 to demonstrate
that the as-built dimensions meet or exceed the design specifications.

The as-built survey indicates that the upper portion of the channel,
stretching from station 34+50 to station 50+00, has an average channel
gradient of 7.7 percent. This reach of the channel is riprap lined with a
Ds° in excess o£ 12-inches. SCC checked the as-built dimensions with the
SEDCAD9 channel subroutine to demonstrate that the as-built meets or
exceeds the design specifications. The hydraulic calculations are
presented in Attachment 7-12.1A, As-Built Channel SEDCAD4 Modeling. Cross-
section 9 is located at station 91+55 (see Exhibit 7-23 for the cross-
section location). Table 7-12.1 presents the surveyed channel geometry and
the hydraulic summary £or cross-section 9.
TABLE 7.12.1
Channel SIIPM-1 As-BuiltT ical Geomet
Cross-Section Design
Flow
cfs Channel
Gradient
% Bottom
Width
ft Side Slope

H:1 Channel
Depth
ft Channel Lining

Dso -inches
Section 1 134 2.5 17 L 3.2, R 3,6 2.0 9
Section 2 134 2.5 16 L 3.5, R 1,9 2.5 9
Section 3 70.1 2.6 18 L 3.7, R 3.8 2.0 9
Section 4 70.1 1.8 28 L 5.9, R 6.1 1.7 Ve etated
Section 5 70.1 4.6 11 L 2.5, R 5.0 1.2 9
Section 6 70.1 3.0 81 L 5.6, R 5.1 2.4 Ve etated
Section 7 70.1 12.3 11 L 4.8, R 4.6 1.8 12
Section 8 70.1 12.3 9.5 L 2.7, R 3.5 1.2 12
Section 9 52.2 7.7 14 L 6.0, R 10.0 0.9 12
The middle reach of Channel SIZPM-1 runs from stretches from approximately
station 8+80 to station 39+50. The channel lining along this reach is
determined by the channel gradient, which varies from 0.3 percent to 12.3
percent. The portion of the channel that stretches from station 29+45 to
34+50 has an average gradient of 12.3 percent. This reach of the channel
is riprap lined with a DSO in excess of 12-inches. There are two surveyed
cross-section in this section; Section 8 at station 33+95 and Section 7 at
station 30+35, respectively. The surveyed channel geometry and hydraulic
summary for the cross-sections are presented in Table 7-12.1.
TR-37 3 Revised 10/O5
