As a result of site-specific Held efforts, no rare, threatened or endangered plant species were found •
on or near the vegetation study area. All taxa were searched for, with special emphasis on the Arizona
centaur)r, but with negative results. The Unita Basin hooldess cactus exhibits habitat requirements found
in the undisturbed portions of neighboring pinon-juniper woodland and mountain brush plant communities,
but not within the vegetation study area because of its conversion to agricultural and industrial uses.
Becausei of this conversion, there is an extremely low potential that either of these two taxa, which require
a pristine and l or stable environment, would exist in the vegetation study area. Furthermore, the present
regime of intensive grazing and continual disturbance reduces the likelihood even further. A list of all
plant speicies found during site-specific search efforts is provided on Table V2.
r~
~J

¢~~ ~~ Aaaas~nnv~vn, iNC.
