The following laboratory parameters will be analyzed for spring/seep and groundwater
well monitoring on asemi-annual basis:
Ammonia as Nitrogen
Bicarbonate as CaCO3
Calcium, dissolved
Chloride
Mercury, total
Manganese, dissolved
Nitrate-N
Nitrate/Nitrite-N
Selenium, dissolved
Total Dissolved Solids
Arsenic, dissolved
Carbonate as CaCO3
Cadmium, dissolved
Iron, dissolved
Magnesium, dissolved
Sodium, dissolved
Nitrite-N
Phosphate-P
Sulfate
Zinc, dissolved
The well designated in Appendix 3-4 as the Cazbon Canyon #1 well (permit # 25629-F)
may be well PWl (82-4). This well was permitted through CDWR as file 26846-F in
1983 and re-permitted under CDWR permit # 31082-F in 1986. This well also appears to
be the well for which water rights were decreed in Case No. 82CW149 in 1983. In the
application for water rights the well is described as the Ewing Trust #1 well which is
corroborated by the CDWR well permit designation 25629-F on the application for water
rights in Appendix 3-4. It appears that well PWl has been designated as 82-4 (drillers
log), the Ewing Trust #1 well (water rights application), and Cazbon Canyon #1 well
(CDWR well permit applications) during various times since 1982. However, all appeaz
to refer to the same well, as evidenced by the described and depicted location, depth, and
description of flow conditions.
Well PWl is not used for water monitoring at the Cazbon Junction Mine, The water
monitoring program as described on pages 5-36 (revised 9/1997) and 5-36a (revised
5/1998) reflect the currently monitored wells. Well PW1 (82-4) was monitored from the
fourth calendar quarter of 1982 to the fourth calendaz quarter of 1993, when it was
deleted from the water monitoring program.
TR09, TR10 5-50 Revised 5/98, 6/01
