EXHIBIT C
Mining Plan
The permit boundazy area includes 9.95 acres. Of this approximately 7.69 acres will be mined in
three phases. The acreage per phase is as follows:
Phase 1 - 2.1 approximate acres
Phase 2 - 2.4 approximate acres
Phase 3 - 3.19 approximate acres
Phase 1
Mining in this phase will begin in the existing barrow azea along County Road 3. Initial mine
construction work will include the access drive from County Road 3, which will be cut through
the existing bank and three settling ponds, which will be constmcted in the southern azea of the
permit azea. During this initial phase the mining equipment may be visible from the County
Road right-of--way.
Neaz the completion of Phase 1, the banks on the east boundary line will be sloped and
revegetated as per the reclamation plan.
Topsoil encountered during Phase 1 will be removed and stockpiled in the designated areas south
of Phase 3 and in temporary stockpile areas in Phase 1.
Three washwater settling ponds and one stormwater settling pond will be constructed in the
southern area of the permit boundary. Along the southern edge of each of the ponds,
embankments will be established using topsoil overburden. These embankments will be used in
the reclamation processes, as it will be spread throughout the floor of the pit.
Phase 2
Mining in this Phase will continue to the north boundary line with a continuation of sloping as
described in the reclamation plan. The only equipment that should be visible during this phase is
the truck scale.
Temporary stockpile areas will be established in both Phase 1 and Phase 2 to be used for re-
seeding ofthe slope areas during reclamation.
At the conclusion of Phase 2 the reclamation plan will commence for both this phase and a
portion of Phase 1.
