B&B's lazge diesel tank at the Montgomery Pit is located within an earthen
bermed enclosure. Waste Engineering is recommending that the bermed areas be improved
by constructing an impervious barrier for extra protection. The impervious barrier will prevent
spilled material from penetrating the soil and contacting surface or groundwater.
Waste Engineering will forwazd the formal "Fuel Containment Plan" to Eagle County once it
is complete and accepted by B&B. Please contact Robert Krehbiel with Waste Enineering at
the Glenwood Springs office at 945-71~~ if you have any additional concerns with B&B's fuel
containment at the Montgomery Pit.
Respectfully,
WASTE ENGINEERING, INC.
Paul R.
