i •
EXHIBIT L
RECLAMATION COSTS
All construction equipment is owned by the mining company. According to common
earihmoving practices, it is anticipated that topsoil replacement will cost approximately
$4.00/c.y. Final grading is included in this cost. The estimated volume of topsoil to be replaced
and subsequent costs have been broken down as follows:
Phase 1 - (25.41ac*6" deep* 134.44CY/ac-in)* $4.00/CY = $81,987
Phase 2 - (17.97ac*6" deep* 134.44CY/ac-in)* $4.00/CY = $57,981
Phase 3 - (19.29ac*6" deep* 134.44CY/ac-in)* $4.00/CY = $62,240
Phase 4 - (17.78ac*6" deep*134.44CY/ac-in)* $4.00/CY = $57,368
Phase 5 - (16.OSac*6" deep* 134.44CY/ac-in)* $4.00/CY = $51,786
Phase 6 - (24.43ac*6" deep* 134.44CY/ac-in)* $4.00/CY = $78,824
Other costs of reclamation includes seed and seeding at $175/ac, fertilizer with 1501bs/ac at
$0.25/Ib, mulching applied at 2 tons/ac at $125/ton, and riprap at the channel outlets per phase -
approximately 100 CY at $25/CY in place. These additional costs per phase aze as follows:
Phase 1 - (25.41ac*$175/ac)+(25.41ac*i50lbs/ac*$0.25/lb)+ (25.41 ac*2
tons/ac*$125/ton) + (100CY*$25/CY) _ $14,252
Phase 2 - (17.97ac*$175/ac) + (17.97ac*1501bs/ac*$0.25/lb) + (17.97ac*2
tons/ac*$125/ton) + (100CY*$25/CY) _ $10,811
Phase3- (19.29ac*$175/ac)+(19.29ac*1501bs/ac*$0.25/]b)+ (19.29ac*2
tons/ac*$125/ton) + (1 OOCY*$25/CY) _ $11,422
Phase 4 - (17.78ac*$175/ac) + (17.78ac* 150 Ibs/ac*$0.25/Ib) + (17.78ac*2
tons/ac*$125/ton) +(100CY*$25/CY) _ $10,723
Phases- (16.OSac*$175/ac)+(16.OSac*150Ibs/ac*$0.25/lb)+ (16.OSac*2
tons/ac*$125/ton) + (100CY*$25/CY) _ $9,923
Phase 6 - (24.43ac*$175/ac) + (24.43ac* 1501bs/ac*$0.25/Ib) + (24.43ac*2
tons/ac*$125/ton) + (100CY*$25/CY) _ $13,799
The estimated total reclamation cost per phase aze as follows:
Phase 1 - $96,239
Phase 2 - $68,792
Phase 3 - $73,662
Phase 4 - $68,091
Phase 5 - $61,709
Phase 6 - $92,623
