Colorado Ave....., 999
Denver, CO 80210
(303) 722-9067
Environmental Services • Botanical Studies Photography ~-~
March 26, 1985
Mined Land Reclamation
Rm 423 Centennial Bldg.
1313 Sherman St.
Denver, CO 80203 ~~rit~. u(' ~9ij~,
RE: Amendment to Daniel's Sand Pit #2 -
Your File No.: 73-7
a
Dear Sirs:
Submitted on behalf of Daniel's Sand Company of Colorado Springs is an
amendment to their Sand Pit #2. Included are four copies of the
amendment, one original, one public review copy, and two processing or file
copies. The confidential information (Reclamation Costs) have been removed
from the public review copy. We have retained one copy of the five
required. That copy will be placed with the E1 Paso County Clerk upon
notification of completeness.
One particularly important aspect regarding the processing of this permit
amendment is that it should be processed in conjunction with another
amendment. That other amendment, submitted under separate cover and at the
same time as this submittal, is an amendment to Castle Concrete Company's
Sand Pit operation which is adjacent to this operation. The reason for
this joint processing is that the reclamation plans for each operation,
although each could stand alone, are coordinated in such a way that by
examining both at once each takes on a larger meaning. We therefore
respectfully request that the two amendments be processed jointly.
When the completeness review is finished, please send the notification of
filing to the following person. Mr. Briggs will be handling the
publication and placement of a copy at the County Clerk's office.
G. Scott Briggs, Esq.
532 S. Weber St.
Colorado Springs, CO 80903-3906
