NORTH THOMPSON 4 MILE MINERAL & LAND CO,~PORATION
November 9.1999
Byron G. This letter will recap the points we
discussed. First the fan road, I checked with other members of the corporation and we
would like the road to be closed and the bridge removed. We would like a little more
information about the disposal of the pond cleanings, specifically how much material is
involved and what is the nature of the material, any toxins? We would not object to the
burial of small amounts of non-toxic material as long as the surface is restored and
reseeded.
We have no problem with abandoning the emergency spillway or stating that
the topsoil stockpile is gone. Our real goal is to see the reclamation completely
finished and the land returned to our control. Last year, we sold an option for a
conservation easement over all of the corporation's almost five thousand acres to the
Open Space and Trails program of Pitkin County and are bound by the terms of that
easement.
Finally, please change your records to reflect that l have replaced my father in
law, Robert Perry, as president of the corporation.
Sincerely,
~J-(~ ~~Q
William E.L.
