It is stated in the Reclamation Plan that "the use of species native to the area will be included", In Rule 6.5 of the Mineral Rules and Regulations it is stated that "the use of species native to the region shall be emphasized". However, the grass seed mix contains only one `r species (Crested wheatgrass) which is native, according to the Soil fU C Conservation Service report. Therefore, the staff recommends that some combination of native species be included in or replace the presently proposed seed mixture. Such native species could include Timothy, Western wheatgrass, Russian wildrye, Slender wheatgrass, Orchard grass, Rocky Mountain penstamon, and/or White Dutch clover. Please revise seeding plans accordingly. 4, What measures will be taken to insure the integrity and stability of the ephemeral drainage which will be established? Exhibit F-Reclamation Plan Map 1. Please show locations of cottonwood trees and riparian and sagebrush habitats which will be replaced as per Division of Wildlife recommendations.
