Colorado Mined Land -2- August 28, 1986
Reclamation Board
form any function or activity upon any land, building,
highway, or other premises if at any time during the
performance of any function or activity it could rea-
sonably be expected that the person performing the
function or activity could move or be placed within
ten feet of any high voltage over-head line or that
any equipment, part of any tool, or material used by
by person could be brought within ten feet of any
high voltage over-head line during the performance of
any function or activity."
Colorado-Ute is concerned with electrical clearances
under the transmission line. We must maintain
clearances by law according to the National Electric
Safety Code. Generally when materials are stored or
equipment is operated under the powerline, the clear-
ances are reduced and safety is jeopardized.
For the reasons stated above, we ask that any use within the
powerline right-of-way be limited for safety reasons, and protec-
tion of the powerline.
Very truly yours,
TAN/amt
cc: Mary Chapman
Gordon Thomas
John Eddings
B. & B Excavating, Inc.
Thomas A.
