1
1
EXHIEIT E
RECLAMATIOIV PLAN
----------- ----
General: The land will 6e reclaimed to a gentle sloping
southwest facing landform. The total land surface will be
lowered an average 5 feet from its e:;isting topography. Any
1 drainage from the reclaimed surface will be toward the southwest
' as is now the case.
Reclamation will be for a post mining land-use of historic-
' mining site and general wildlife use. At present wildlife use is
very light due to physical barriers and lack of habitat (see
1 E;;hibits H, I, and J). Any reclamation of the site would improve
er;isting conditions (photos 19 thru =~).
'fhe reclamation of this site will provide security cover and
' some minor habitat benefit to wildlife although this may 6e
precluded by the 1-acre lot platted subdivisions of Valley of the
Sun filing and E+eaver Creel:: to the east and north. Gn the west
' and south the permit area is bounded by highway 9, yet another
obstacle to wildlife use of the area.
~S
Grading: As the mining progress from trench 1 to trench
tailings occurring on tap of the trench 2 resource will be
bac4:filled into trench 1. Due to the rounded nature and physical
' sire (generally ~~.5 to 2 feet in diameter) this material will not
be compacted, but is e;;pected to achieve near cubic-closest
' packing. Mine soil (E;;hibit I, map unit MS) will be placed over
the tailings 'to a depth of 1 to feet. The application of mine
1 sari are top of the much coarser tailings will provide an
7
