R[GIITS UND1iR LICF.NSL--This license confers the right to perform exploration operations in accordance <br />with the terms and conditions of this license, the approved exploration plan. and applicable refutations in the <br />following described lands situated in the State of Cotnmdo: <br />T. 14 S., R. 90 W., 6th P.M. <br />sec, 1, lots 1 to 4, inclusive, SthN+h, and S+h; <br />sec, 2, lots l to 4, inclusive, S+hNSh, and Sth; <br />sac. l 1, S++/iN'h; <br />xcc. 12, S%xNyx. <br />The :u~ea described contains approximately 1,356.75 acres. <br />'t'his bccnse is issued far u period of two years and shall confer no right to a Icase. It shall not ho extended; however, <br />the licennec may apply for a new exploration licenSU to be issued simultmtatusly with the expiration of this license. <br />The issuance of this license shall not preclude the issuance of a coal lease at such time and to such persau us <br />deemed appropriate by the 13LM Sta[c Director or by his delegated represenWtive, hereafter called the "authorirul <br />ofliur." If a coal least is issued for lands included in this exploration license, those lands' common to both Icase and <br />license shall be canceled from the license effective the date of lease issuance. <br />Sec. 2. LXYi.OKATION--The Iieeusee shall diligently explot'e the lands by drilling, by excavating, by geophysical <br />or gcochemical surveying, or by od+er acceptable methods. '1'Ite liccnsce is entitled to use for exploration purposes <br />so much of the surface of the I icensed lands as reasonably necessary for such operations in accordance with dte <br />approval exploration plan which is attached and made a part of this lirense, <br />Stx. 3. OPERATIONS--{a) The licensee shall comply wilt all applicable rules and regulations of the Secretary of <br />the Interior and, as to any lands in this license which are administered by another Federal agency, with the <br />regulations and orders of that agency, <br />(b) The licensee shall comply wish the provisions of the operations regulatons at 43 CFR Part 3480 and all orders <br />issuai pursuant thereto. Copies of the opet~lting regulations may bu obtained from the Uncompahgre Field Office <br />Manager. <br />{c)'fhe licensee shall allow inspection of the premises and opcradons by aulltorized representatives of the <br />Dcparunent of the Inu:rior or other Federal agency administering the lands and shall allow the free ingress and egress <br />of Government offiwrs and other persons using the lands under auUtority of the United States.
