Box 1526 <br />Salt Lake City, Utah 34110 <br />Subject: Minor modification mining plan, coal lease D-042921, <br />Hawk's t7est East Pone <br />Dear PSr. Amundson: <br />Your application to modify ti,e nunin~ plan for 2nd Right entries <br />off 2nd East l,as been revie,aed by t}lis office. <br />The modification is to change the direction of entry development <br />from approximately N 72°E to due east and to develop five entries <br />rather tha„ three entries to all.ou alignment of the entries so that <br />• they can be effectively used in tl,e deve'opr.,e:,t and mining of the <br />newly acquired lease C-27103. The ci,ang.~ does not affect additional <br />lands. <br />The modification plan for 2nd Right off 2nd East is approved for <br />the change in direction and for five entries to be developed to tl,e <br />lease barrier pillar. Tl,e three ventil.atinn entries southward off <br />2nd Right may be developed app,'o~cirntely 170 feet, however, any <br />further advance or a break--out to the surface by vertical shaft or <br />otherwise is not approved. The ventilation entry raise to the surface <br />is included in the plan submitted to the Office of Surface Pfining <br />on 1;ay 22, 1979, fot revision of t}le existing plan to allow mining <br />by long,aail mining methods. <br />One copy of the approved modification of 2nd P.ight is enclosed for <br />your records. <br />Sincerely yours, <br />Archio L.
