5
EXHIBIT D
i 8
78
(Rev
sed Q-2
-
)
Both the north end and fourth cut A-band quarry
operations wi ll supply the present cement plant kilns.
Operation of the preheater kiln currently scheduled
f'nr mid-1980 will use primarily C- and E-band materials.
The A-band quarries will thereafter likely continue in
lirni.ted pro~.3uction of high calcium limestone as will
Ideal's Slab Canyon limestone quarry,
(c) All vmLer diversions and impoundments
As explained under Exhibit C, an unnamed drainage
' crosses the A-band quarry map sheet (6 licc-1360). Flow
' in this drainage during the irrigation season is caused
by seepage from the North Poudre Irrigation Co.npany's
Monroe Cruvity Cana]. Although this flow was aot
diverted, a concrete pipe was installed in the drain-
' age to prevent possible water leakage into the A-band
Qll3PI'y.
During infrequent rainy periods, it has bf~en
' necessary to pump water from portions of the A--band
quarry. TLe quarry is normally operated so surface
' drainage i:; downward to the south, away from the working
' face to an undisturbed area where any solids can settle
prior t,o pwnp discharge of clear water into esi, ablished
' surface drainageways eastward into the flood ditch.
Similar diversion may be required from lower deposit
' level locations in the future C- and E-band quarries•
