Stevens
Reclamation Specialist
Mined Land Reclamation Division
Department ofi Natural Resources
423 Centennial Building
1313 Sherman Street
Denver, Colorado 89203-2273
Dear Mr. Stevens;
A coal broker I have been talking to about selling coal
from my Trinidad coal property requires additional assay
data to market the coal. In view of this situation I need
to do additional drilling under Notice of Intent X-87-202=00.
It is my desire to core the coal in holes 29-1, 29-8, 8 29-12.
A lower six foot coal bed showed up 73' below the main coal in
drill hole 29-4, and I would lake to plug hole 29-1 through this
this zone. In addition, I would like to complete drill holes
16 and 17 under the original proposal.
The additional driling would not add more than 400 feet in added
footage to the original bonded permit, and would still be
within the permitted limit.
Under this proposal for additional drilling the roads are
already constructed, and no additional disturbance is anticip-
ated.
The completion of this work depends in the availability of a
drilling rig and the weather.
Your comments on this matter as soon as possible would be
appreciated.
Sincerely yours,
. ~ ~ ~
w.
