August 24, 1988
Page Two

conduct of such mining activities. As further support for the
application, I reference the application made and approved by the
Mined Land Reclamation Division.
Enclosed herewith you will find thirteen (13) copies of this
writing with enclosures. Those enclosures include the
following:
(1) Boundary Survey This boundary survey depicts the
property in its entirety with a mapping of the areas
previously involved in the sand and gravel operation.
Particularly, I would reference you to the South Parcel
of the property first which shows an existing gravel
pit area. The mapping of this area is intended to
identify not just the "pit" itself, but all areas
associated with the mining activity. This area was
mined by previous owners of the property, however, the
applicant does not intend to conduct any further mining
of that area. The only activity the applicant expects
to engage in that area will be with respect to existing
inventory previously extracted. Once that inventory
is sold, and removed from the site, then the applicant
will proceed with the reclamation of that area. With
respect to the North Parcel of the property, again, the
mapping indicates the existing mining area which covers
some 37.59 acres. The actual gravel pit itself,
however, is centrally located and is not in excess of
three (3) acres, the existing area simply being a
depiction of that area which is committed to use with
respect to the mining activities previously conducted.
Again, the applicant is not now engaged in any
extraction activities in this area. For its phasing
plan, the applicant intends to locate its initial
mining operations in this area extending the pit to the
west and then to the east. The second phase of the
mining operations would be to extend the pit into the
far east portion of the area which is specifically
identified as the "future area" consisting of some
14.71 acres. The applicant intends to reclaim the
area as mining activities move from one phase to the
next. The areas just described are physically
identified on the property as per steel fence posts
which shall be color coded so as to distinguish them
from the property boundary markers. The foregoing
constitutes a statement of the mining plan of the
applicant.
