Consideration should be given to calling in personnel for op=ration of <br />radio equipment and receiving local calls. - <br />• NOTIFICATION OF LOCAL EMERGENCY UNITS <br />Depending on the nature of the emergency, assistance ma;; be <br />requested of <br />1. Fire Department <br />2. Police/Sheriff Department <br />3. Emergency Rescue and/or Ambulance Unit <br />4. Civil Defense <br />The type of emergency involved will dictate the type of assistance <br />to be requested. We have informed these organizations of our abilities <br />in responding to emergencies, identify the type of emergencies of which <br />we will notify these organizations, and discussed hotr these organizations <br />• can assist us in minimizing hazards to life or property. These <br /> organizations have been informed of our planned responses and actual <br />responses during an emergency. <br />FIELD COMMUNICATIONS <br />The Distribution Superintendent or Manager shall designate one <br />supervisor at the emergency scene as "supervisor in charge" of field <br />work so that all field activities are properly coordinated. <br />Wher, possible, a supervisor shall be designated as Field Com- <br />municator to receive and transmit information to the dispatcher and key <br />personnel not on the scene. All contacts with persons on the scene <br />shall be made through the Communicator. 1n the absence of a person <br />designated Field Communicator, the field supervisor on the scene will <br />• act as Communicator. <br />-g- <br />
