The pit east of 23 Road is an existing
pit which has been completely mined and the bank sloped in accordance with the
rule established by the Board. Pit Area I is bordered on the north by a road
of which the owner wants to maintain in its present location, and on the east
by 23 Road, which is a dedicated right-of-way. The west boundary of the pit
will follow an existing band of cottonwood trees and vegetation which will leave
the pit shoreline irregular, rather than the straight lines as shown on the Mining
Plan, We can curve the south boundary of Pit I into the Processing and Stockpile
Area to eliminate the straight line on the south side.
I will be responding to the Board regarding the two letters they received at a
later date.
If you have other questions, please call.
Sincerely,
CORN CONSTRUCTION CO.
~~~
Edward Settle, P.E.
EJS/bjh
enc.
