• <br />INTRODUCTION: <br />Dorchester Coal Company intends to augment a development drilling <br />program at the Dorchester No. 1 Mine property in the Newlin Creek <br />area; T20S, R701i, Sections 25 and 25, Fremont County, Colorado. <br />PURPOSE: <br />This drilling program will accumulate needed data Sn an area <br />immediately ahead of currenC mining activities in order to update <br />coal quality, identify underground structural features and coal <br />thicknesses (minable) and to aid in coal seam correlations <br />into reserves to be mined during 1982. At present, the Dorchester <br />• No. 1 Mine plans are directed into areas in which geological control <br />and coal quality information needs to be updated and confirmed. <br />MLTYnnC• <br />Equipment to be used: <br />A Midway 1500-MS drill rig (rotary) will be used to drill the <br />exploratory holes. A 3.000 gallon eater truck will haul water <br />from the Dorchester No. 1 Mine facilities/sources, as is required <br />Co drill holes. One light van-type truck will house [he necessary <br />electric logging equipment to be used on the project, one half- <br />ton pickup for the drill crew will be on-site, as well as a half- <br />ton pickup to be used by the field geologist in charge of the drill <br />project. <br />r nrnTrnu. <br />Note attached map for exact drill hole locations.
