-2- • King Solomon DMG Permit M/77/296 Stormwater Permit COR-040103 Umetco closed all known shafts and ventilation raises (15) at the site. The Cliff Dweller Portal and Redsox portal were also closed. • Last Chance Mine DMG Permit M/77/468 Stormwater Permit COR-040115 Umetco closed the unlined ventilation raise and the portal at this mine site during the months of August and September. The cement pad is still on the collaz of the ventilat~.on raise. All know physical hazazds at the site have been remediated. • Mexico Group DMG Permit M/77/563 Stormwater Permit COR-040099 Three ventilation raises were closed at this mine site during the month of Octobf:r. • New Verde DMG Permit M/77/292 Stormwater Permit COR-040104 Umetco closed 5 portals and 10 ventilation raises at this mine site during tl~e months of October and November. One of the portals was inaccessible to heavy equipment, and was closed with cinder blocks and painted to blend in with the surrounding rock. All known hazards aze closed in the azea. Many of the closings occurred outside the permitted area, were pre-law, and on BLM and DOE ground. • Radium Hill DMG Permit M/77/299 Stormwater Permit COR-040108 This mine azea contains the Rimrock and September Mom mines. Umetco closed 8 portals and 4 ventilation raises in the area during the months of September and October. All known physical hazards within the permitted azea aze closed. • Rajah 30 DMG Permit M/77/294 Stormwater Permit COR-040113 Umetco contained the mine water dischazge in a buried plastic pipe to prevent the dischazge from flowing over the mine waste pile. • Rimrock Blues DMG Permit M/77/562 Stormwater Permit COR-040108 Umetco closed over 20 mine openings at this site during the month of September. Many of the hazazds that were closed were outside the permitted azea and pre-law. All known physical hazazds within the permitted azea aze closed. Some small waste dumps were rccontoured in accordance to the reclamation plan during the closure of the mine portals.
