<br />'~ ~ EXHIBIT K <br />Climate <br />The area exhibits a semi-arid climate typical of the central high <br />plains east of the Rocky Mountains. The region is characterized by low <br />humidity, low average precipitation, and a high percentage of sunshine. A <br />large amount of the precipitation which occurs falls during summer thunder- <br />storm activity. <br />' The four masses which influence the region are: Pacific air which <br />passes over the mountains to the west, Artic air from Canada and Alaska, <br />moist air from the Gulf of Mexico, and warm dry air from the southwest and <br />' Mexico. <br />' Climatological data i5 given below for Cheyenne, Wyoming and Fort <br /> Collins, Colorado.
