<br />CLIMATIC CONDITION: <br />The climate of Crowley County ie semiarid. Winters are mild, Bummers are <br />hot, and the humidity commonly ie very low. The mean annual temperature ie <br />about 52 uegreee F. They.average annual frost-free season ie 1~.l~ days. The <br />annual procipi.tation ie about 11 or,12 inches, but there is considerable <br />seasonal variation in precipitation and a marked concentration of :rainfall <br />late in spring and in ecmimer. Rainfall commonly occurs ae intense, local <br />thundaretorme of short duration. Although winter. precipitation averages <br />lees than one-half .inch per month, heavy enowe have occurred in every winter <br />month. Blizzards in January and February are a serious hazard to stockmen <br />and to travelers in open country because winds are high.
