Gape. or ieawra{ .~esu~~rces <br />The mine surface facilities will be located in the SWu, SIY~, <br />• <br />Section 22, IJ.IJ.P.I~1. T481J, R17W, tbntrose CoBnty, Colorado. The <br />portal will be below the north rim of Spring Creek Mesa on the San <br />Itiguel Bench overlooking Atkinson Creek. IJining operations are <br />expected to begin in the first half of 1°78 and will continue <br />indefinitely, from ten to fifteen years. <br />ACCESS <br />Access will be via an all-weather public access road which <br />turns off highway 141 at the trnvn of Uravan, Colorado. This road <br />traverses up to the San Miguel Bench via several switchbacks for <br />approximately three miles to the portal site turn off. From here <br />less than 600 feet of new road will have to be built on the Shf-18 <br />lease block to reach the portal site. This new road will be made <br />into an all-weather road by constructing it to a 25 foot width, <br />laying down a 12 inch sub-base of +Lz inch rock and then surfacing <br />it with six inches of -li inch crushed rock. <br />All of the new road will be on the SI4-18 lease block, so no <br />right-of-way permits will be necessary from any other property <br />otivners. <br />SERFAGE PLAINT <br />The surface plant will consist of one permanent building <br />(30 feet X 48 feet) housing the shop, change room, compressor, and <br />the office; a guard trailer; an electrical substation; and a mine <br />~val;te dump. These Facilities are located adjacent to the mine portal <br />as shown on the map in Exhibit C. <br />
