<br />4 <br />REHADILITATIVE EFFECT <br />• Although much of the surrounding vegetation consists of pinyon <br />pine and juniper, these species are considered undesirable by the <br />BLPf and will not be included in revegetation. The disturbed land will <br />be planted in grass with some desert shrubs. This type of vegeta- <br />tion will be of greater benefit as rangeland and wildlife habitat <br />and will provide better and more immediate soil stabilization. <br />4YATER <br />The operation is not expected to directly affect surface or <br />groundwater systems. All measures enumerated in Section 6.2 of <br />the Reclamation Performance Standards will be complied with by <br />Cotter Corporation. For additional information, see Exhibit G. <br /> <br />14ILDLIFE <br />The Colorado Division of IS'ildlife recommends that the area be <br />revegetated with bro~vse and native grass species (both included in <br />the seed mixture), and concurs ~vith the reclamation plan proposed. <br />(For further ~rildlife information, see Exhibit D.) <br />T II tE TABLE <br />Due to the small area involved and the underground nature of <br />the mine as opposed to an open pit or stripping operation, constant <br />use of the disturbed area is necessary.
