r
EXHIBIT "I"
SOILS IHFORMATIOH
Ho natural or man made geologic hazards are known to exist in the area. of
the proposed mining activity.
The Soil Conservation Service (SCS) has identified one soil
classification within the subject property. The araa proposed for gravel
extraction is classified by the SCS as a BtD, Blackstone Stony Loam.
This soil type lies within capability unit Vle-1. This soil consists of
deep, arell-drained material, and is found in sediment weathered from
basalt on high terraces. Blackstone soils have moderate permeability
above a depth of 2B inches and rapid permeability below that depth. The
hazard of erosion is classified as moderate. Mining limitations are
nonexistent.
The site is made up of gently sloping to rolling uplands associated with
the Saltdesert environment. The slopes range from 0 to 50 percent, and
the elevations range from 4,800 to 4,920 feet in the area.
