EXHIBIT D
• MINING PLRN
The Sand Pit operation is situated on 34.7 acres of land (amended
acreage), including access, in which all acres are used as an open pit
sand extraction operation. This mine has been operated 6y Castle
Concrete Company far several years and will continue to operate under
this amended plan.
Adjacent to the Sand Fit and located to the south is Daniel's Sand
Pit #2 (permit #73-7). Separating the operations is a ridge of sand
material (referred to hereafter as a dike) across which runs the
irrigation ditch. The mining plan calls far movement of the ditch to the
north side of the pit and then removal of the dike of sand separating
the Sand Pit and Daniel's Sand Pit q2. Hy mutual agreement with
Daniel's Sand, Castle Concrete has the rights to the sand contained in
• the dike. Through this amendment the permit boundaries mf the two
operations will be moved so as to be contiguous. The easement for the
ditch will he shifted to the north side of the Sand F'it so as to permit
mining the sand in the dike area without conflicting with the easement
requirements.
Rnother part of the mining plan change from the original plan will
involve the removal of the ridge of sand along the west boundary of the
property. In addition, lowering the ridge and leveling the adjacent land
on the west side will be done if requested by the adjacent landowners.
The mining plan is divided iota several sections. They are:
1.) Alteration of the ditch route.
2.) Femoval of the sand dike.
3.) Lowering of the west side.
4.) Completion of the operation.
•
F'AGE 1 OF v - EXHIBIT D
