Permit No.: CO-0000221 <br />County: Routt <br />AUTHORIZATION TO DISCHARGE UNDER THE <br />COLORADO DISCHARGE PERMIT SYSTEM <br />In compliance with the provisions of the Colorado Water Quality Control Act, (25-8-101 et <br />seq., CRS, 1973 as amended) and the Federal Water Pollution control Act, as amended (33 <br />U.S.C. 1251 et seq.; the "Act'•) the <br />PEABODY COAL COMPANY <br />is authorized to discharge from their Seneca coal mine <br />located in the SE 1/4 of Sec. 30, the SE 1/4 of Sec. 12, the NW 1/4 of Sec. 22, all in TSN, <br />R87W, and in the SW 1/4 of Sec. 27, and the NE 1/4 of Sec. 34, all in T6N, R87W, <br />to Grassy Creek, two unnamed tributaries to Dry Creek, two unnamed tributaries to Sage <br />Creek, and two unnamed tributaries to Fish Creek, <br />in accordance with effluent limitations, monitoring requirements and other conditions set <br />~th in Part I and II hereof. All discharges authorized herein shall be consistent with <br />terms and conditions of this permit. <br />The applicant may demand an adjudicatory hearing within thirty (30) days of the issuance of <br />the final permit determination, per the Regulations for the State Discharge Permit System, <br />6.8.0 (1).
