' RECLAMATION PLAN

1

EXHIBIT E (cont)
This mixture is consistent with Mr. Olsons recommendation for
non irrigated planting on the site. If the seed is drilled, it
will be planted at a depths ranging from approximately one-quarter
inch to three-quarters inch deep. If the seed is broadcast, it
will be spread on a rough surface and the seeded areas will be
dragged of raked thoroughly. No mulch is necessary if planting
occurs at the proper time and at the proper depth. The SCS makes
no recommendation as to mulching for this site.
WEED CONTROL.
Problem weeds will be monitored closely each spring for the first
two years to determine if they are invading the area. Weed control
will be initiated if the problem becomes serious.
IRRIGATION.
' No irrigation is planned for the seedbed. However the trees
will be watered for the first three years.

1
1
RECLAMATION TIMETABLE.
Reclamation will begin in the spring of 1987 with the tree
planting: The operator anticipates that approximately 508 of the
total affected land will be reclaimed by the time mining is completed.
It is expected that all resoiling and revegetation will be completed
at the end of the second fall after mining is completed. The area
will be monitored for success of revegetation until accepted by the
Board. If revegetation failures occur prior to release, an analysis
will be made and the area will be revegetated again as necessary.
The operator estimates that reclamation will be completed by 2012.
RECLAMATION TIMETABLE
Acres +
I Revege- Undist-
Phace Years Total tation Road urbed
1 4-6 9.65 7.24 0.00 2.26
2 4-6 20.04 13.82 0.00 5.83
3 4-6 16.39 12.34 0.52 0.00
TOTALS 46.08 33.40 0.52 8.09
18
