MINING PLAN S%HIBIT D (cont.)
plants will be controlled by water suppression. When dust creating
J conditions prevail, a water truck will be in operation on haul
roads, in the mine area and at stockpiles. Spray bars will be
used at the processing plant while it is in operation. Water use
for these activities is discussed in Exhibit G.
Traffic will leave the excavation site onto U. S. Highway 6 at
I prescribed exit as shown on Map Exhibit D-1. During the busy
spring-summer-fall season we estimate approximately 75 round trips
will occur daily. During the winter months 20 round trips will be
normal. Traffic will turn either east or west onto U. S. Highway
6. To the east a distance of 2 to 3 miles is the Eagle on-ramp
for Interstate 70.
MINING TIMBTABLB.
This is a two-stage operation for the excavation stages. It
l is expected that mining will be completed by the end of 2010. More
specific timing is extremely difficult to estimate because of
1 current economic conditions in the Eagle Valley. The two stages
1 will approximate the following schedule:
ACRES + Average Ftru31
I I Set- Shop Production
Stage Years Permit Mined back Road Area Range (Tons)
1 5-7 9.65 7.24 2.41 0.00 0.00 100,000
I 2 7-9 20.04 13.82 6.22 0.00 13.00 100,000
J 3 3-5 16.39 12.34 3.53 0.52 0.00 100,000
TOTALS 46.08 33.40 12.16 0.52 13.00
10
