In accordance with the requirements of Regu]nlions 2.02.2(2)(g) rned <br />d.2Ld(6), please provide the seed mixes that will be tiled for land owned by the Stale of <br />Colorado, and provide tellers front "/-!ockell", "f~Villiams" and "7_ulian" indicating the seed <br />mixes eh~i~ prefer. for our review. <br />Response: The NOI Supplement Information has been revised to show the seed mix that will be <br />used for State of Colorado, as well as, Seneca Coal Company (SCC) owned surface. The proposed <br />seed mil is adapted to a broad range of site conditions. Specific goals include rapid and long-term <br />surface stabilization, ease of establishment, maximum use of native species, adequate species <br />diversity, high levels of utility for livestock and wildlife, good forage production potential, <br />compatibility with naturally regenerating native species present in replaced topsoil, and the ability to <br />be self-sustaining or compliment successional processes. The seed mixture was developed by <br />Seneca Coal Company [o revegetate reclaimed coal mine lands in the vicinity of the Cow Camp <br />Project. The Di~~ision has approved this seed mixture for reclamation purposes at bode the Seneca II <br />iA4ine (GSO-00~) and Yoast Uline (C-92-084). Exploration drill hole sites CCU-004, CCU-00~, <br />CCU-006. CCU-007 are on State lands currently within, or immediately adjacent to, the Seneca 11 <br />Ytine permit boundary and, CCU-002 and CCU-008 are on SCC and State lands, respectively, <br />adjacent to the Yoast Mine permit boundary. <br />CCR has discussed proposed seed mixtures with "Hockett", "Williams" and "Zulian" and has letters <br />that indicate the seed mixture they expect will be used to revegetate the exploration drill site <br />disturbances.
