The topsoil shall be placed in locations <br />to prevent unnecessary damage to surrounding vegetation. The <br />soil shall be replaced at the time of rehabilitation. <br />2. All disturbed areas shall be established with a suitable vegetation <br />harmonious with the area. <br />3. All disturbed areas shall be reshaped to conform with the natural <br />surroundings. All cuts shall not exceed a slope of 3:1 horizontal <br />to vertical. <br />4. If the area poses a safety hazard, the pit shall be fenced to protect <br />livestock and humans. <br />5. No trees shall be removed or damaged by equipment during the gravel pit's <br />operations. <br />6. An archaeological field examination shall be conducted by the State <br />Archaeologist of the pit area prior to the mining activities. <br />7. The existing access road will be used to obtain gravel. There will be <br />no increase in the roads width or any new road construction. <br />8. If any cultural or paleontologic resources are found during the mining <br />activity, all operations shall cease immediately and the District <br />Manager shall be notified. <br />9. The permittee shall file the reports required by Title 43, Code of <br />Federal Regulations, part 23.10. <br />
