The design capacity of this domestic wastewater treatment works is 0.015 MGD for hydraulic flow (30.day
average) and 31.2 Ib. BODs per day for organic loading (30-day average).
ii) Facilities Operation (outfall 002)
The permittee shall at all timts properly operate and maintain all facilities and systems of treatment and control
(and related appurtenances) which are installed or used by the permiaee to achieve compliance with the conditions
of this permit. This provision requires the operation of back-up or auxiliary facilities or similar systems only when
necessary to achieve compliance with the conditions of the permit. Any sludge produced at the wastewater
treatment facility shall be disposed of in accordance with State and Federal guidelines and regulations.

a) ReRUtations for Effluent Limitations: The Regulations for E,~'luent Limitations (5 CCR 1002-62), apply ro the
conventional pollutants. For autfa[l OOI, the limitations far Oil and Grease are based on this regulation.
For outfall 002, the limitations for BODs, TSS, and Oil and Grease are based on this regulation.
b) AvPlicable Federal Effluent Guidelines and Standards: The federal guidelines which apply to this type of
facility are found under 40 CFR 434, titled Coal Mining Point Source Effluent Guidelines. The limitations,
