PUBL/C NOTICE COMMENTS <br />The EPA stares "For Outfall 002, the draft permit must contain effluent limitations and monitoring requirements forpH, either <br />based on secondary treatment requirements or Colorado Effluent Regulations. " <br />The Division added pH limitations and monitoring requirements to outfall 002 based upon Water Quality Standards. <br />Comments from DMG wanted clan, fication of the water treatment description in Part /I/.B. of the rationale. They state, "On page <br />2 of the Summary ojRarionale, Facility Description, parr B. Waste Water Treatment Description; the sentence reads "Briefly, a <br />single sedimentation pond treats underground mine drainage and surface water runof jfrom the site. " This is not accurate. More <br />accurately, "Three treatment cells are used in combination to treat underground mine water drainage. " The system is not <br />designed nor used to treat surface water runoff. The permittee adds chemical Jlocculants and coagulants... " <br />The Division changed the description based upon DMG's suggestions. <br />Christopher L.
