• The portable plant will stockpile the materials near
the working face. Therefore, as the mining progresses
northward, the plant and stockpile area will also move
northward. This will allow areas south of the operation to
be reclaimed.
Since the phase areas are quite large, they have been
subdivided into estimated 5 year increments. Based upon
these estimates, the maximum major disturbance will occur
between 1990 and 1995. The following table outlines the
anticipated disturbances as defined in the Rules and
Regulations. -
Major Disturbance 27 Ac.
Moderate Disturbance 90 Ac.
Minor Disturbance 160 Ac.
Mining will not occur within 25 feet of the south,
east, and west property lines of this amendment area. No
setback will occur on the north property line where this
amendment area joins the existing permit area. Power poles
are located along the eastern edge of the permit boundary.
At this time, no mining is proposed within 200 feet of each
structure.
• The annual reports will outline the actual progress of
the mining operation.
The total depth of overburden and topsoil to be
stripped is quite variable. It ranges from several feet on
the northerly end to none on the south half of the Cline
property. The deposit itself also ranges in thickness from
about twenty to thirty-five feet. The gravel will be
extracted to about 2 feet above the underlying substratum
which is a shale of variable depth.
The fallowing table includes information for both the
presently permitted area and the proposed amendment area.
Total Begin Complete
Phase Acres Mining Mining
1 A 150 In Progress 2000
i B 230 In Progress 2030
1 C 150 1987 2008
2 150 2008 2030

- 12 -
