EXHIBIT E (Cont'd)
five-year phase will be used to monitor the success of the
plan and to make necessary repairs and adjustments.
Some erosion ditching may be necessary. The operator plans to
vary the distance between ditches, depending on slope and the
direction they face. On the 2 to 1 slopes of the west side
small erosional control ditches along the contour will be
located every 15 to 20 feet; at the north end, the ditches
on the 2 to 1 slopes mill be 12 to 15 feet apart. On the
4 to 1 slopes on the east side the ditches will be 25 feet
to 30 feet apart. If it is necessary to backfill and topsoil
during summer months, the operator plans to construct ditches
at about 10-foot intervals.
Compaction will not exceed that derived from normal equip-
ment operation in redepositing the soil. Excessive compaction
in these soils could encourage erosion and make establishment of
vegetation more difficult.
Reclamation Performance Standards. ROBCO intends to operate
the site in compliance with the Reclamation Performance Standards
of Rule 6.
Grading will be performed to create a final topography appro-
priate to the planned future land use. When backfilling is
necessary, the operator will replace overburden and waste
materials in the mined area and will insure that the heavy equip-
ment used for this purpose is compacting the earth sufficiently
well to achieve good stability. All grading will be done in a
manner to control erosion and to protect areas outside the
affected land from slides or other damage. All backfilling and
I'
r
-20-
